The AVAIN LABS® Travelling Microscope Deluxe Model AL-150C is a precision optical measuring instrument designed for accurate linear and vertical measurements in physics laboratories, research institutions, engineering colleges, and educational laboratories. Manufactured with high-quality materials and precision engineering, this deluxe travelling microscope is ideal for experiments involving optics, refractive index determination, capillary rise measurements, and fine dimensional analysis.
The instrument is built on a heavy cast iron base fitted with three leveling screws, ensuring maximum stability and accurate alignment during measurements. The top surface is precision machined and supports a gun metal horizontal carriage that slides smoothly for precise positioning.
The horizontal slide can be securely locked at any position using a clamping screw, while fine adjustments for exact readings are achieved using a micrometer screw mechanism, enabling highly accurate measurements.
A vertical slide operating in a similar manner is mounted on the horizontal carriage, providing precise movement in both horizontal and vertical directions. The microscope assembly can be positioned in either vertical or horizontal orientation, making the instrument highly versatile for various experimental setups.
The microscope tube is fitted with a high-quality 10x Ramsden Eyepiece with cross-line graticule and an Achromatic Objective of 2-inch or 3-inch focal length, delivering sharp, clear, and distortion-free images for accurate observation and measurement.
The AL-150C offers a travel range of 22 cm horizontally and 16 cm vertically, with guaranteed vernier measurement accuracy of 0.02 mm or 0.01 mm, ensuring exceptional precision for laboratory applications.
For convenient reading of the vernier scale, the instrument is equipped with a swing-out magnifier, improving visibility and reducing reading errors. The microscope is supplied in a sturdy wooden storage box for safe transportation and long-term protection.
