The AVAIN LABS® Barometer–Altimeter–Hygrometer–Thermometer–Compass AL-9000 is a versatile 8-in-1 digital environmental measuring instrument designed to provide multiple readings in a single compact device. It combines altitude measurement, barometric pressure measurement, temperature measurement, digital compass, weather forecasting and clock functions, making it suitable for laboratory, educational, environmental and outdoor applications.
The AL-9000 provides an altimeter range from -700 m to 9000 m (-2300 to 2950 ft) with a resolution of 1 m / 3 ft. Its barometer measures atmospheric pressure from 350 hPa to 1100 hPa with 0.1 hPa resolution, while pressure can be displayed in hPa, mmHg and InchHg. These specifications are consistent with published descriptions of the AL-9000 model.
The integrated digital compass displays bearing in degrees and cardinal points, while the thermometer measures temperatures from -10°C to +60°C with selectable °C/°F format. The instrument also provides a 12–24 hour clock format, LED backlighting and weather forecasting for the following 12–24 hours.
