The AVAIN LABS® Anaerobic Culture Jar 3.5 Litres (Model: ANAR-2) is a premium laboratory instrument designed for creating and maintaining oxygen-free (anaerobic) conditions for the cultivation of anaerobic microorganisms. Ideal for microbiology laboratories, hospitals, diagnostic centres, research institutes, pharmaceutical laboratories, and educational institutions, this culture jar provides a reliable and efficient environment for anaerobic incubation.

Manufactured from high-quality transparent polycarbonate, the 3.5-litre jar allows easy observation of cultured Petri dishes without opening the chamber. The robust aluminium pressure die-cast lid is fitted with a vacuum cum pressure gauge, vacuum/pressure valve, pressure valve, and safety valve, ensuring safe, leak-proof, and controlled operation.

The system is designed for use with a vacuum pump and CO₂ gas cylinder, where the air inside the jar is evacuated and replaced with CO₂ to create anaerobic conditions. An extra plain aluminium lid is supplied as standard, allowing the jar to be used with ready-made anaerobic gas packs, making it a versatile two-in-one anaerobic culture system.

The culture jar is supplied complete with a stainless steel Petri plate carrier for up to 10 Petri dishes and a stainless steel test tube carrier, making it suitable for a wide range of microbiological applications.
